But the story behind it reaches much further back: Anton Paar began in 1922 as a one-man machine shop in Graz and has grown over more than a century into a global measuring technology company. Today, Anton Paar is the world leader in density and concentration measurement, with deep expertise built across industry, science, and research.
From the beginning, Anton Paar ConsumerTec’s mission was clear: to make that advanced measuring technology accessible to private users and small businesses. That is why we develop smart measuring devices and software solutions that bring professional-level insight to everyday applications. As part of the Anton Paar family, we combine the strength of a global measurement expert with the focus and agility of a specialized consumer-facing team — empowering users with smart tools that give them more control over their time and processes.
One Home for Smart Measurement
It all began with EasyDens. Its strong market response made clear that there was real demand for smart measuring devices that make precise work simpler. SmartRef followed as another strong signal — both as a standalone device and as a valuable complement to EasyDens. Most recently, pH2Go added a new dimension to our portfolio of smart measuring devices.
As our portfolio expanded across devices, applications, and user groups, we saw the need for a clearer, stronger brand that could bring everything together. What began with individual products has grown into a broader family of smart measuring devices, all driven by the same ambition: to make precise measurement easier to access, easier to understand, and easier to apply in everyday work.
